Kelly Bay (龙尾湾)

I've known this place for some time but too bad no chance for me to pay a visit, til now. The 2nd day I came back from Penang, sis grabbed me along to join this outing with her colleagues to Kelly Bay, Tuaran. =D All unprepared! 'Luckily' the weather was superb, with uncountable ultraviolet rays invisibly killing our skin cells. =P

Cannot open eyes dy!
After a bowl of Sang Nyuk Mee (生肉面) from Lintas, 3 to 4 cars went for an adventure to find that hidden gem of Borneo. Ngek ngek. The road to this place was hard to find and kinda undeveloped, we passed by places where chicken came running out of nowhere, cows ignorantly blocking the way to eat grass.. the sign boards are too insignificant to be noticed as well.
Finally, after like half and hour or more...

Final sign board. You know those hanging signs will be kept away into their store after they close this place in the night. LOL. so if you came blindly here at night, you could only see a stupid lonely tree bark stuff without any words on it. Why? They said got weird desperate people would come and steal their sign board. HAHA~

Waiting for the other following cars to arrived. We aboarded the ... ferry (is that a ferry or boat or what) 1st. And remember to wear safety jacket. Who knows what the heck would fly up and pull you down into the swamp right? Like anaconda!!! =.= This 'ferry' do look like those usually attacked by lake monsters or anacondas btw.

Guy with the green shirt, the photographer of the day with his precious Lumix dunno-what version and tripod. He's a Penangite lo za dao. But syokness is when West Malaysian's been transferred (willing or unwillingly) to the East, they get to transfer their car too (FOC!). o.0 Who wanna come Sabah work?? Bring over your Range Rover! Vrooom~

Good thing of this place is we're paid according to heads (err..). I mean no people would come ask you ' eh wanna play banana boat? eh wanna fish? tambah 20 ringgit!' something like that. It's all included and whether if you like it or not, it's paid and whether you're sporty or not, JUST PLAY LAH. PAID WORRR.
This guy was throwing little webs to catch ketam!

Before reaching to our place, we stopped by this piece of sandy land for photo shooting. Look over the far place, it's the sea. This water we're 'sailing' on, connects to the sea one loh. I forgot what's the hulu /hilir thing already...crap geography.

Photos... on that piece of land. =)

This is June. sea water here might not be as clear and aqua as the island, but look at the sky!

This is everybody.

Getting near to our destination.

Emo blue boat.
Very cheong hei woman instructing us how to wear life jacket (=.=) how to play banana boat, and the facilities we could enjoy. Plus showing us around. Let us look at the place we shall rest.

Not actually grand but comfy and relaxing. Most important it's clean. And with the straw mat and leathered cushion, we would get dry faster even after coming back from water sports.

The small coconut bowl on every seat, is for us to wash our hands before/after meal. Not lemon tea!

The facilities....

You can kill ur enemy at ease. Such a relaxing holiday right, without your enemy bugging you!

Or do some chicken hunting.
Upgrade yourselves with some art - Batik!

Samples hanging up. There are Korean and Taiwan tourists here too! So different rows are fixed for different groups of visitors.

Do some fishing..
Cute blue crab they caught by the cage.

Checking out the bait...

Big catfish being greedy to eat the bait.

Water sports~
Banana boat.
Kayaking.
Surfing.
Yo that was my 1st time to surf. LOL. The butterflies in the stomach was raging! I did't know I was supposed to be scared of the huge wave coming or be excited.

Football!
Swinging on the hammocks....

And food is provided. =)
Yum yum... Nom Nom nommm....

Bo Bo Cha Cha
Bak Kut Teh Soup
Langsat on the left. And Yeung Sam Sou on the right to clear out your heat.

The Yeung Sam Sou.

Got Mee, Fried Rice, Fish, Salad, Chicken Curry, Grilled squid, Grilled lamb, Fried Chicken Wings.... all nicely cooked and satisfied our stomach after all the activities. Yumm... Oh the money right, used to buy Cola one. Soft drinks and ice creams are not included so pay myself lo. =)

And in the evening after everyone's clean and prepare to take off, hot roti tissue and roti banana are served with teh tarik. ^.^ ooooooo~~~

Of course before we clean ourselves up to leave, we went photo shooting again as the sunset were pretty. @.@

Wee~~~
Left - sunset. Right - tengah hari very the hot!

Artsy Fartsy...
The great tripod.. risking his life to take our group photo. ^.^

一望无际 ^.^
Kinda romantic like that...

Orange Sunset...
Waiting for my 2nd cup of teh tarik

You take me, I take you.

Classic...
'I want to die, don't stop me!'
'If you really want to die, die farther!!'

And I drew this with my toes. haha.

After that, we went to search for kelapa bakar! Roasted coconut juice. It's getting late but still a lot of cars at the roadside to buy coconut drinks/pudding.

Poor coconuts...
I prefer the cooool coconut juice anyway. Warm drinks after beach is sooooooooooo weird. XD
But the coconut pudding, 2 thumbs up.

Roasted clam shells..
Tired. And then sleeep all the way home after coconut drinks and keropok udang. =)
I was bitten by stupid sandfly soooooooooo be careful! Bring mosquito/bug repellant!

Words when the light's off

Hey Mr. Curiosity
Is it true what they've been saying about you
Are you killing me?
You took care of the cat already
And for those who think it's heavy
Is it the truth
Or is it only gossip

I've burnt myself a Christmas CD - my routine every end of the year! After the machinery buzz, I'm full with all the cantabile happiness. This kinda relax is max-ed in car. So I drove, and drove. Past my house junction, past some of my friend's house.

Call it mystery or anything
Just as long as you'd call me
I sent the message on did you get it when I left it
See this catastrophic event
It wasn't meant to mean no harm
But to think there's nothing wrong is a problem

Oh shit. I started to think back how I survived through high school. It was supposed to be the doomsday among the public examinations. No doubt the result's smellier than dog poo of a dog that eats only poo. Yet, the days were filled with crimes and anonymous curiosity that led to more crimes. Naivety means problems aren't problems.

I'm looking for love this time
Sounding hopeful but it's making me cry
Love is a mystery
Mr. Curiousity...

Then this melody came by. Okuribito's soundtrack - Memory. One of the instrumental piece that turns my emo-ness back on. That makes my brain start to think amid the melodies, with peak and bass. This time, some part of the future appears.

Come back to me
Mr. waiting ever patient can't you see
That I'm the same the way you left me
In a hurry to spell check me
And I'm underlined already in envy green
And pencil red
And I've forgotten what you've said
Will you stop working for the dead and return
Mr. curious well I need some inspiration
It's my birthday and I cannot find no cause for celebration
The scenario is grave but I'll be braver when you save me
From this situation laden with hearsay

Future sounds like a whole blank white piece of paper to most people. Me, too. I said future appears, I mean I know what really suits me bits by bits. And I hope that jigsaw puzzle would be complete soon. Or maybe I should say I started to have a mindset of what kinda lifestyle I want for the rest of my life.

I'm looking for love this time
Sounding hopeful but it's making me cry
And love is a mystery
Mr. Curiosity
Be Mr. please
Do come and find me, oh
Find, find me, find me

Don't wanna sound like an old hag, but really, you can't see yourself clearly when you're not moving anywhere. Just like GPS, it won't show you your leftover km's if you're not moving further. Maybe I was caught by some scenery, or blurred by the vision of kaleidoscope. Or purely confused by what I thought, is true love.

Love is blinding when the timing's never right
Oh who am I to beg for difference
Finding love in just an instant
Well I dont mind, at least I've tried
And I tried, I tried...

I forgot I included this song in my xmas CD and suddenly all the pangs came rushing in, and I drove further. Nothing's compatible with a running mind plus a right genre of song right now, I felt. What is love? Cheesy, man! But, what is love, seriously?

I've read a novel by Hiyawu (藤井树), with these awakening sentences,

成熟的爱, 是因为爱而需要 (Mature love is , we need because of love)
不成熟的爱, 是因为需要而爱 (Immature love is, we love because we need)

Somebody would shout at the top of their lungs and say I love you. Somebody would keep it in heart and show it by action. Some would prefer mature love, undeniable there's some who are out to pursue the so called immature love. Is there any moral issue here? I don't think so. Nobody has the same ruler of morality. And who are we to judge how mature their love is.

I'm loving the last part of this Mr. Curiosity by Jason Mraz. At least I tried. A lot of times when disappointment yells and trauma recalls, failure comes creeping in. At least I tried.

Love is blinding when the timing's never right

When jigsaw starts to look like something, with the ability, I hope I could do more for my parents. Only for them, love is always blind and the timing is always precise.

深夜随记

A lot of thoughts would cross over the mind in the midnight.
Massive loads of 'what if', plenty of 'maybe'..

Korean Instant Noodle - An Experiment

After watching the 24/11/2009 Kang Xi Lai Le, I sms-ed Alex and told him I wanna eat his newly bought Korean instant noodle. =D It's for my stomach, and for an experiment! Kindness of Alex!

So the topic of the show that day was about supper~ and so they said spicy Korean instant noodles would taste vastly different - enter a whole new world liddat, if 1 special ingredient is added.

And that's the very famous - CHEESE.

Here comes the experiment..

Cook the mee like usual. Don't tell me you dunno how. Just boil water and throw everything in the packet in (package excluded =S)! And do the most important step - WAIT.

Okie I added some cheesy sausage. Cuz I like cheese sausage le bah. Wait until the mee is appropriately soften to suit your taste buds.

Leave the stove, pour those stuff into a bowl. Place the gorgeous on top of everything. Slowly you'll see it melts...

Then I blend everything together, the soup became thick and chalky. =0 Worst of all, it smelt EWWWWWWWWWWW. Totally rubbishy smell man. For 1 moment I don't feel like eating it already. Ergh!

Slowly the stinky cheesy smell fades...

And I ate it. It tasted ok only. Normal Korean mee soup with a slight salty cheesy essence liddat. As a conclusion, I think that original Korean mee tasted better. Hah! I guess that's how smelly-Tofu scares people away. Pungent smell though tasted okay. That's what I heard. I still don't have the guts to try.

Hehe. So Imma off home tomorrow. YEY! Just wanna say no more instant noodle for a month! *applause* ENOUGH. Cheers to the healthy lifestyle with a looooooot of fresh food awaits. =)

Cannabis College & Mr. Curiosity

=) Funneeehh lyrics man. I like him when he's speaking. Dunno what's that. Attractive like DJ. A kind of smooth liquefy voice. Relaxing and random live performance. Should finish the whole series of these outdoor show of him. ^.^ Good thing about it is that it's random enough. Performances are just too tight up with some super star or what. He's simple enough. Simply Jason Mraz.

Get ready for some babababiduwah... and aaaaaaahhhhhh.....

And if you grow your knowledge tree Hydroponically (LOLs!)

Instead of writing boring papers
You'll be rolling all your tests and all your quizzes
You'll be curing common glaucoma

People of China

I know the pictures are old enough to grow worms d. =P So today I'm going to introduce the human of China. We know China has approx. 1.4 billion people. But how much is 1.4 billion? Yea except many many zeros after this 1.4 figure, and common sense tells us it's a huge number. I hope I could tell you how crazy this 1.4 billion is, and jokes saying 'if each China nation spits, it could drown you" is damn true. 1.0ml from each person = 1.4billion ml = 1.4million liter. You're far from dead already.

ps. 1 Billion - 1,000,000,000

This is the train station of Xi An. The most common public transport of China is either by bus or by train. So I could see this place is flooded with people with different purposes. *Hold on my bag firmly*

Inside the ticket selling hall, almost 50 counters available. Each ticket selling aunties talked like robot, repetitively ask for your planned destination, time and choice of seats. It's like totally frustrating if you "errrrr...which one is cheaper?..ehh..." hesitate for so long in front of the counter. A lot of unfriendly + impatient faces awaiting behind. Stress loh even wanna buy a train ticket. So I was heard a lot of ang mohs don't prefer trains here if they are backpacking.

Talking about choices of seats...
China so big right, so basically the train started from the super East side (eg. Shanghai) to the super West side (eg. Lan Zhou), some even farther to Ulu Muqi, Xin Jiang. No no, not 1 hour drive from KK to Tuaran that simple. So maybe it takes dayssss for long, or hoursss for short. So seats are divided into hard seats (硬座), hard beds (硬卧) and soft beds (软卧).

Like the name implies, hard seats
mai hard seats lo. Sit until you reach your destination.

Hard beds aren't exactly stone beds
la. It's like a small room for 6 persons - 2 rows of 3 storey beds. Imagine a standard train height, the highest storey totally smell the ceiling (not exaggerating), that's why cheaper - and claustrophobic. Middle storey can't sit straight, still ok. Lowest storey, more expensive, could sit up straight and eat kuachi loh.

Soft beds are small rooms with 4 beds, relatively comfortable. Of course most expensive among those choices.

Outside of the ticket selling counter are rows of
meh-meh-ceh-ceh queues, to get inside the waiting hall for the train to stop by.

Schedules for the trains. More than that, the screen changes like we see those schedules in airport. OMG so many places to go meh!

Wonder why so many people outside the hall, but not queueing to go in?

Wait loh. Why not wait inside?
Here's the situation inside the waiting hall.

'Full House' Seriously outside is better if your train is like 2 hours later. You wanna sleep with them also no place for you.
Maybe poker?
Plus air is stuffy.

I know the photo is blurry. I scare people come punch me right on my nose or what if I shot this like nobody's business. They slept on the corridor, WOW right?! They actually slept, not just lie down.

You see, some people aren't tourist or having a great time travelling. That's the bad to live in hectic cities, have to strive, have to fight for food, and be flexible to THAT extend. We should be grateful the population in our country isn't saturated, we are still able to shoot single photos without a lot of passerbys..

Museum for the Warriors of Terra-Cotta

Striving for existence.
Striving for existence.
and
Striving for existence.
Their aim of life I suppose. Let alone adaptation, surviving skills are more important already. Even going to universities, a 0.01 marks could make big difference in their future. While we Malaysians still complain the government for this and that, they have to complain to themselves, get their ass to
gambatte, or out of the game. That's very strict.

No doubt place like this do offer something called CHANCES.
Once you stood a chance to protrude yourself, 1.4 billion or more, is all yours. Why Taiwan or Hong Kong stars wanna be famous in China? Why capital injections from entrepreneurs in China? Everyone is asking for a chance. To grow big, to grow
strong, to grow rich.

In a different context of asking for chances.
Notice the picture above, there's only 1 person praying whom was squating. The rest with 'papers' are asking for chances. Chances that the lady praying would buy from them. Chances are everywhere, just too many competitors. Sometimes it's guilty not to buy from them, when they gave me those disappointed looks. Oh totally Puss-In-Boots man! =(

A bridge in Tian Shui City, covered with people.

Words on the banner: Sincerity is our capital.

And you really can't blame the ladies (or men) over there to be louder than usual. 1st, they have to get attention. 2nd, they have to scare off bad guys, eventhough sound isn't always the best weapon, but eye-sight of the 3rd party is. 3rd, they have to bargain with dracula-ish sellers. You know I bought a bag that was labelled RMB250 for RMB70 after bargain.

There are tactics one in bargain. Cannot show you're desperate for that product, cannot be shy to cut the prices into one third, or half. It's so wrong to think that we're helping the
ke-lian shopkeepers. We should ke-lian our purses. =D

In places where 'queueing up' isn't their way of doing things, be loud or attractive (haha!).
Remember those days in primary school, I was so angry canteen auntie don't
layan me since I stood there such a long time no Bee Hun for me. Then those fat boys came and shout, 'AUNTIE ONE BOWL MEE!! ' terus get one. Cis. Since then I wave money in front of those aunties already. If they can't hear me, they see my money(attractive loh) what.

You see, even the death could earn money for the country. Dead Chinese were damn smart. Kidding =P. Btw when I say 1.4 billion, these doesn't count okay.

Let's just pray and hope the dead don't sprang into life suddenly and hide under those traditional costumes. Those performances are like so usual around. It would be spooky to know they're not exactly human. 0.o

Outside the Musuem of Warriors of Terra Cotta

Tour guide let the folks have a rest, too bad not enough benches. Or maybe they prefer to sit lower. Squating is a pose so usual already. Any where, any time.

Random street in Tian Shui City

However, China does have angels (in camouflage). =) So adorable to see daring kids dressing like butterflies and still very 'so-what?!'. HAHA.

Due to the saturation of population, the country has implemented the law of one child. Then the younger generation treat their cousins, friends like brothers and sisters. That's a phenomena rarely seen in Malaysia.

Outing ^^

Peek'a'Boo!
Say 'hi' to fat Santa. =)

December's coming. Gurney Plaza here got their own small decors already too. And employees with Santa hats. No doubt it's not as any synchronized and huge as those usually set up in 1Utama/Mid Valley each year (anybody over there pls shoot a photo let me see the theme this year!).

HP Pavillion was doing some roadshow at New Wing. A group of 4 musicians being invited to spice up the atmosphere around with some light pieces. Christmas carols were not left out of course!

Top view from the highest level of Gurney Plaze Old Wing. Gurney was flooded with human (if not?) yesterday omg. Like suddenly I was so tiny in the human sea crowd, nonethelessly it was merry. I guess everybody is either off with exams or duty-off. It's a Sunday yo!

I finished a single small size caramel popcorn before the movie started. Then queued up again for a regular size one. And FINISHED. =p Such a loooong time didn't eat popcorn now suddenly all addicted.Total raise the white flags to those sweet caramel scent. Hmm~~

Movie time! 3D A Christmas Carol Yeeha! Before the movie started, this was shown as a 'foreplay'. haha. i've seen this in youtube but it's mega-cute in 3D! Awwww....the cloud are floating in front of me.

Duo-tone glasses huh?
Honestly I can't really hear what Jim Carrey was talking lo. No subtitles and total very the English slang. Some said he sounded more like an Indian, only speaking English. haha. But luckily 3D movies pin point on graphics and motions, and a lot of flying of course. So while guessing (it's very the obvious lah the plots) the storyline, we hop on an visual adventure! In winter! With the snowing. It's cold also (ok la it's air-con).=p

That's all folks. Happy Holidays.
=)

PS. Met with Frank's 99x9 here last week. OMG it's so weird to see that car here instead of KK. Haha. I guess that's the butterflies. You know, when you meet somebody(or thing) that's so not suppose to be in that place. Like meeting an old friend from hometown, in a different place.

HardRock Cafe

Cats and dogs outside. Chilling with myself on 18th floor with a glass of Sunkist Orange Juice, in the pink version of McD's Coca Cola glass now. Woohoo. I'm so happy because I finished my core paper exams today (left 1 Hubungan Etnik, and Japanese..care later. =p). Switch on headphone mode, turn on new Star Gazor light. Such a wonderful day.

1st of all, have to thank Mito for giving me this Star Gazor. Ok la I name it myself one, but it does look like a pretty star in the dark lo. Got FEEL. And I can't stop take my eyes off it. Ambiguously saying I'm staring at it, or it stares me right back. *waiting for a passionate kiss*

Although guilty, gonna admit it I sneaked out during exam periods. To the HardRock Cafe, Batu Feringghi! Wee~! Because we're seduced by the series of pretty photos taken by bloggers, and Mito's coming to Penang for the night, we decided to hit HardRock to spice up our life. =D

Nguhuh... those pretty logos change colors. So adorable upon the main entrance of HardRock Hotel. It sure cause a scene.. like everybody's gathering here for photos until their neck's broken for elevating their heads too long.

I baru tahu HandRock was founded in London, England. o.0 Ok lah and also know it's a very ooooold restaurant. Then started to grow very big...n then famous.. n then got somehow related to Beatles. Madonna. Micheal Jackson. Elvis Presley..

The symbol of HardRock. =) Huge guitar!
Didn't get to shoot King of Pop due to the huge rain though.
And besides getting an overload meal, a lot of talks, a cocktail for our own, we've got some pictures and an amazing night.

Around the hotel..

The very shallow ankle-height pool with sand inside.

Private access to the pool. Cool! Although you aren't all by yourself after jumping out of the balcony lah.. but the idea of directly changing into dry clothes after swimming is fantastic liao! Come to think of it, blow drying myself with sea breeze isn't that bad either.. provided it's crazily hot in the day!

Reception counter.

I tried to be artistic lo. Shooting myself with painted Beatles. See my whole body is unevenly quadrisected. 0.o And face twisted thanks to refraction. Even the liquefied black door beside looks creepy.. like it's actually walking!

Artificial sandy area for your feet to have the beachy sensation.

A dinner at HardRock Cafe.

The ang-moh beside us so leng zai. =) So I included him into the picture.

We ordered too much food. Haha. We're not awared of the portion. So basically we're the only 2 huge bears in the cafe.

Cheezy Nachos. Nice. =) I like stuff with cheese so this is right for me. Ooo and it's an exciting dish 'coz it gave me surprises. Sometimes I taste sour (tomatoes), sometimes spicy! Is green pepper spicy? Or isit something else. =D Btw notice the huge plate, relative to the saucer beside. Mito and I were shocked by the XL-ness of it. So like whole 2 hours I were biting...biting...cruching...crunching...

10 oz Beef burger
How big is 10 oz?!
After that cheezy nachos showed up, imagine our faces when we saw this.
Not much of a comment from me since I'm not a big fan of beef, ask Mito!

Our cocktails.
Left: Mito's Mai Tai. All tropican and Thai-ish.
Right: I order Mijito but there're no Mint leaves that night. =.= So Sex on the Beach was in for replacement. Nice tho! Orange juice with premium vodka (says the bartender). ^0^

Our dessert.
Our stomach can explode liao!
Chocolate brownies with HaagenDazz icecream on it. Thick chocolate ohmyeff.. =D But sorry la we're too stuffed. Sadly we let the expensive dessert melt while listening to the live band show.

That's all for the post. Huhu.
Gonna check with my Cafe World. I think my Onion Soup is ready to be served! WAHA~

Determination

Hug 1 tebal-tebal textbook.
Slept 2 times.
This is DETERMINATION.
In a different context.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
